Bellevue's Dancing Crane Pow Wow - Honoring the Medicine of the Crane:

Bellevue has a teaching pow wow that teaches Native American traditions.  This pow wow is the Bellevue Dancing Crane Pow Wow Honoring the Medicine of the Crane.  It is held on the last weekend of July with activities taking place on Saturday and Sunday.  As the event approaches a link to the flyer will be posted here and under the whats happening section of the Villages website.

You can expect an educational experience while attending this event, learning how people lived in this country before many of our families arrived.  There are ceremonies held with dancers in Native American regalia, storytellers telling stories, legends, and speaking of the culture, and drums with Native American drum songs and singing.  There is also authentic Native American arts and crafts and authentic Native American food available at the pow wow.  This is an excellent opportunity for a fun weekend spent outdoors.
